HomeGym 4U 3-in-1 Hand Strengthener Grip Rings

Designed for those who want a change from the classic spring hand grippers, the hand strengthener rings from HomeGym 4U were made to be chic and easy to use. Regardless if you’re at home, traveling or at the gym, these rings were created to provide an extra edge to your grip, improving your overall hand, wrist, and forearm strength. Each ring has a different density, and they come in different packages. The 30-50 lbs rings are for those at a beginner level, and the 60-80 rings are for those finding themselves at an advanced level. It is made out of a durable silicone material that does not wear easily and is soft enough to offer you a comfortable grip.

Pros

  • Easy to carry around
  • Made from a durable silicone that doesn’t wear quickly
  • Designed to fit the hand so that you do not need to readjust
  • It doesn’t make any squeaky noises (unlike spring strengtheners)
  • Can be used by anyone regardless of the strength level (men, women, and teens)

Cons

  • The 80 lbs ring may be difficult to use or break due to its density
  • The hard rubber from the stronger rings may prove uncomfortable

The Verdict
The great part about these packages is that they come with different numbers. As a beginner, you may want to start with the 30 lbs ring and go towards the 60 lbs, which are easier to bend. They’re lightweight, so you can carry them in your pocket everywhere you go. These rings represent a good stress reliever if you have to wait in long lines or boring places – it keeps your sanity intact. You can also use them during a break, a TV commercial or even while you are driving. They work well with medium-sized and large hands; however, if you have small hands, you may have some difficulties in properly gripping it, and it may cause a slight discomfort.

The 60-80 lbs batch is another story; those are definitely made for professionals. We managed to squeeze the 60 and 70 lbs ones at one point, but the 80 lbs one is almost so impossible, it’s comical – even when using both hands! You would probably be able to drive a truck over it, and it still wouldn’t budge. However, we did find a trick at some point – and that is to rotate it. It has some weaker points which make the ring easier to bend – although, at that point, we couldn’t feel a difference between the 70 and the 80 lbs ones. There’s also the risk that if you apply too much pressure to the 80 lbs ring, it’ll crack and break. It’s literally like trying to bend stones.

Other than the fact that the 80 lbs ring was literally made for Iron Man, we couldn’t find any major problems with the other rings. This is a very unique and high quality alternative to traditional hand strengtheners that I can safely recommend to just about anyone.
